- How do I make sure the calendar is set up properly?
- Why there are no issued displayed on the calendar?
- Why are issues placed on the wrong dates?
Tutorial #1: Allowing a calendar for the project
Issue Calendar for Jira is a 3rd party addon on your Jira instance installed via Atlassian Marketplace. In order for you to use it, you need to allow its usage across projects.
You can do it simply in three quick steps:
- Firstly, open up the plugin configuration page
- Secondly, switch to the “Settings” section
- And lastly, enable the calendar by switching a toggle button
Below, you can see two screenshots illustrating the required steps.

Tutorial #2: Configuring calendar properly
Issue Calendar for Jira works out-of-the for majority of Jira instances without a need to do any additional configuration.
It does that by using the custom field “duedate
“. If an issue have the duedate added, it will automatically show up in the calendar on that date. You can see the on the screenshots below.

However, when you have a custom workflow set up, using custom issue types or having custom issue fields created – you should configure the calendar to use different field than “duedate
“.
The configuration of the fields is easily done in two steps:
- Open up the configuration window
- Configure date fields for individual issue types
Below, you can see two screenshots illustrating the required steps.
