Global Kanban Board for Jira can be used to display work (issues) across your Jira, not just from one project.
Once you’ve successfully set up the plugin, one of the first things you can do is to view your work.
You can view the work using the two criteria:
- projects
- work filters (formerly issue filters)
Filtering by projects
One of the first things you’ll want to do is to choose projects from which you want to see the work.
You can choose any number of projects, even all in your Jira (but be mindful, if your projects contain lots of work items, say 3000 – the waiting time until all the work loads would take considerable portion of time).
You can pick project by clicking the “plus” button on the left (shown on the screenshot below).

Filtering by work criteria
Now, having chosen the desired projects, you can view the work as is, or use additional work filters. For example to filter the work filter by:
- work type (a task, a bug, a story…)
- priority (only high priority…)
- by assignee (unassigned work…)
- …or any other data field (due date, parent, labels, status, reporter….even custom made fields…)
Just click the “Add filter” button as shown on the screenshot below and pick the desired filter criteria.

For example, let’s say you’re looking to filter by Priority. After choosing the priority field, it will appear next to the “Add filter” button. Then you simply choose the particular types of priorities you want to see and click “Submit“.
The board will reload your work and show you only the work items meeting the filter criteria.
