In this short tutorial, you’ll learn how to create a new standup. It only takes a minute.
First time in the app
When you open ALDEVA Daily Standups for the first time, you’ll be automatically prompted to create your first standup. Just follow the setup steps below — no extra navigation needed.
Creating additional standups
To create more standups, click the Manage tab in the top right corner. This opens a list of all your existing standups. From there, click the Add standup button and follow the same setup steps.
Creating standups requires admin permissions. Not sure about your role? Check the Permissions and admin info article.
Standup setup
When creating a standup, you’ll fill in the following:
- Name — give your standup a clear name (e.g. “Morning sync”, “Design team standup”).
- Time — set when participants should be reminded to fill in their standup.
- Working days — choose which days the standup is active. Monday to Friday is preselected by default.
- Questions — define the questions participants will answer.
- Participants — select specific people or make the standup available for everyone.
- Managers — add one or more managers who will be able to view all responses and reports.
That’s it
Your standup is now live. Participants will be prompted to fill it in on the days and time you’ve set.
Everything you’ve configured can be changed later — the name, time, questions, participants, all of it.
